The Challenge
Over many years have worked with several utility companies including Transco, National Grid and Wales and West to develop a towable vacuum bowser for clearing gas mains that have contaminated water in.
The main challenge was to have a completely independent unit that is safe to use in a gas sensitive environment.
The Solution
We set out to design and develop a highway towable vacuum bowser that was compact and totally independent, we added a diesel run engine complete with spark arrestor on exhaust for safety, this ran a vacuum pump that had filter system then a flame trap on outlet as this will be working in gas sensitive areas and this system eliminated any sparks.
The Result
We have sold many of these special units over the years to many utility companies who are still running them today with great success.
