Trailer Engineering’s 2140 litre bunded diesel highway fuel bowser is the flagship of Trailer Engineering’s fuel bowser range. Favoured by plant hire companies, the 2140 litre bunded diesel fuel bowser is a robust and highly capable fuel bowser, with extreme offroad and on road capabilities.
The single axle ensures a high ground clearance for off-roading without compromising the comfortable on-road towing, this bunded diesel fuel bowser is fully certified for the public highway. Manufactured from a fully welded steel galvanised chassis and heavy duty running gear.
The tank is manufactured from a polyethylene inner fuel tank to ensure a clean fuel storage solution and secured in a steel outer bund which has four lifting points, two fork truck points (for use when the tank is out of the chassis) and a lockable rear door to protect the pumping equipment and contents.
Our bunded diesel EU highway tow fuel bowser is fully U.N certified for 10 YEARS for the storage and transportation of fuel.

CHASSIS:
The 2140 litre bunded diesel fuel bowser’s trailer chassis is constructed from 100 x 50 RSC. Fully welded complete with front standing plate and ‘A’ frame drawbar. Finished in Hot dip galvanised. Painted trailer chassis available upon request. The trailer is fully E.U certified for the public highway.
AXLE/SUSPENSION:
Knott-Avonride 3000kg rubber torsion beam fitted with Knott-Avonride 300 x 60 auto reverse brakes operated via cables and rod.
WHEELS AND TYRES:
2 No 235/85 x 16 x 12 ply radials fitted to 5 stud 6½” pcd rims.
COUPLING:
3000kg KnottAvonride posibrake over run auto reverse c/w spring assisted handbrake lever, breakaway cable. 40mm ring eye or 50mm ball.
ANCILLARY EQUIPMENT:
Our bunded diesel 2140 litre fuel bowser comes with a wide range of ancillary equipment including moulded mudguards, mud flaps, rear support stand, telescopic front jockey wheel, side reflectors, front markers, full road lighting c/w 13 pin plug.
OUTER BUND TANK:
The fuel bowser’s bund is of a Cylindrical in design and manufactured from 3mm mild steel, with removable top section for tank access. Rear access door fitted with stainless steel hinge and is fully lockable. The fuel bowser’s bund can contain 110% of inner fuel tank contents. 4 lifting eyes and 2 Fork sockets for use when tank is not fitted in a trailer chassis.
INNER FUEL TANK:
The fuel bowser’s inner fuel tank is Constructed from a translucent heavy duty Polyethylene 2” filler cap and chain. 2” vent valve, top mounted 1/2” BSP suction and return connections. Ball valve in base of tank to pump. P.R.V. in the top of the tank.
As the manufacturer Trailer Engineering can also fit optional extras to this fuel bowser including external suction and return generator feeds, etc.
PUMP:
The 2140 litre fuel bowser has a K2 semi rotary hand pump c/w in line ‘Y’ Strainer fitted with 15’ of 1” hose c/w trigger nozzle and stowed on bracket as standard. All contained within the lockable tank bund area. Different fuel pump Options are available on request: Electric fuel pump’s, Petrol Pump’s,
Other optional extras can also be fitted including Non Resale Flowmeter, fire extinguishers, solar panel, etc.
FINISH:
Trailer Engineering’s standard fuel bowser paint colour is RAL1007 (Yellow), other paint colours available upon request.
The fuel bowser’s tank is finished in Primer and two top coats of single British Standard colour. Complete with a Galvanised trailer chassis.

Delivery Information & Exclusions.
* UK Mainland Delivery, Delivery price above Excludes Northern Ireland, Northern Scotland & Isles, West Wales, coastal areas Etc Price On Application (POA).
*For none UK Deliveries POA.
*Offloading of heavy items such as bowsers & tanks should be made by a forklift with extended forks or similar heavy lifting equipment. If you will be offloading via an overhead crane and require delivery to be made on flat bed vehicle please advise prior to purchase as additional charges may apply, our standard delivery vehicles are normally curtain sided vehicles and don’t allow access for overhead cranes. If a forklift with extended forks is not available to offload, please advise prior to purchase as we can make alternative arrangements i.e. Via HIAB Delivery. However, these special deliveries will be POA.
*Delivery is a kerbside service only, and not a “drop at your door service”. Arrangements must be made by the customer to manoeuvre the tanks into position.
* It is the customers responsibility to ensure that there is safe and adequate access for large lorries.
*Trailer Engineering Will contact you prior to despatch to advise delivery date, if for any reason delivery is attempted and failed on the advised date, it is the customers responsibility to cover the initial transport costs and any additional charges to get the units back to ourselves and Re-delivered on another date. Therefore, it is vital that if delivery is expected on a specific date that someone is available with the correct offloading facilities and can sign for the goods at the delivery address as additional charges for failed deliveries can be significant.
*As offloading is the customers responsibility any damages to the units which is caused during the offloading process wouldn’t be covered under warranty and would be the customers responsibility.
*Tanks cannot be left without a customer’s signature.
